FAQs

What should I do if I can’t make it?

You will be missed! Formal invitations will be sent closer to the wedding, but if you already know you plan to attend or can not make it to the wedding or weekend events, please RSVP as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

What is the status of COVID-19 in France?

COVID-19 information and restrictions have changed frequently since we planned our wedding for Summer 2022. We will continue to monitor and update this website based on new information. There are currently no entry requirements for vaccinated visitors from the United States traveling to France. However, the United States is still requiring a proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 24 hours of your departure back to the US (regardless of your vaccination status).

Do I need a passport?

Yes! We recommend checking your passport expiration date and, if necessary, updating it as soon as possible. France requires that your passport be valid for 3 months after your planned departure, so please make sure your passport expires after October 2022.

Are you having an “unplugged ceremony”?

Yes! Ok— maybe no one asked this, but it is important to us! Please leave your cameras, phones, ipads and other devices off and away for the ceremony portion of our wedding. Outside the ceremony, please feel free to document the weekend however you wish. We have hired a wonderful photographer Sophie Kaye (follow her @sophiekayephotography) to capture a few of our wedding events and are planning to eventually share photos of our wedding weekend on this website.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is formal. The groomsmen will be in tuxedos and the bridal party will be in formal attire. Above all else we hope that everyone feels comfortable, and our plan is to provide more guidance for wedding weekend attire here.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Average weather for this region of France in July is high of 70s/80s during the day, dropping to the lows of 50s/60s at night. As is typical of older buildings in Europe, the Chateau does not have air conditioning.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony, cocktails, and dinner portion of the evening will be outdoors. The dancing portion of the reception will be indoors. In the case of inclement weather, everything will be moved indoors.

How do I get to the venue?

If you are staying off-grounds, the Chateau is located at 25 Rue de la Bourdaisière, 37270 Montlouis-sur-Loire, France. Taxis should be available from the recommended hotels. If you rented a car, there is parking available at the Chateau.

Are kids welcome?

While we love your little ones, our wedding events are going to be adults-only so that everyone can relax and enjoy the weekend. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you can celebrate with us, but also understand if an international trip without children is not possible for every family.

Can I bring a date?

We ask that you only attend with those named on your invitation. If you feel that we missed someone, please get in touch with us.

How should I address the married couple?

Formally, Lauren and Anthony will go by “Mr. Anthony Columb Kennedy and Ms. Lauren Elizabeth Reasoner Lutton.” Socially, they will be known as “The Kennedy Family”!

I still have questions, what is the best way to contact you?

Feel free to reach out to either of us with any further questions. (like, “Lauren, what the heck is garden party casual attire?”). We are leaving for France the weekend of July 16. After that date, we ask that you please direct any questions to our wonderful planner, Sophie. We will update the website with her contact information closer to the event.
